BlitzBlitz Scheduler

Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

Blitz Scheduler (“the Service”) is operated by Blitz Collab (“we”, “us”). It reminds team members about marketing materials they need to send to the social media team by adding deadline events to their Google Calendar. This policy explains what information the Service collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you opt in with Google

  • Basic profile: your name and email address from your Google account, used to identify you and show your status to administrators.
  • Google authorization token: a refresh token that lets the Service manage reminder events on your behalf. It is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never shown to anyone.
  • Calendar choices: the IDs of the Google calendars you choose to receive reminders.
  • Reminder event IDs: the IDs of the calendar events the Service creates, so it can update or remove them later.
  • Sync status: whether your reminders are up to date, including error messages if an update fails.

Information created by administrators

Deadlines (titles, due dates, materials to submit, reminder timing) and which team members each deadline applies to.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie that protects the Google sign-in flow. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Google user data

The Service requests these Google permissions, and uses them only as described:

  • Basic profile and email (openid, email, profile): to know who opted in.
  • Calendar events (calendar.events): to create, update and delete the deadline reminder events the Service itself adds. We do not read, change or delete any other events on your calendars.
  • Calendar list (calendar.calendarlist.readonly): to show you the list of your calendars so you can choose where reminders go. We store only the IDs of the calendars you select.

Blitz Scheduler's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not:

  • sell Google user data or use it for advertising;
  • transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Service, to comply with law, or with your consent;
  • use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
  • allow people to read it, except administrators seeing your name, email and sync status, or where required for security, legal compliance or with your permission.

How we use information

  • To add, update and remove deadline reminders in the calendars you choose.
  • To show you your upcoming deadlines and let you manage your settings.
  • To let administrators manage deadlines and see who has opted in and whether reminders are syncing.
  • To keep the Service secure and fix problems.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that run the Service for us: Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database). They process data only on our instructions.
  • Google, to create and manage events in your Google Calendar.
  • Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention and deletion

  • When you opt out, we delete the reminder events we created, revoke and delete your Google token, and stop syncing.
  • Your name, email and opt-in history are kept so administrators can see who has opted out. To have them deleted, email us and we will delete them within 30 days.
  • Deadline records are kept until an administrator deletes them.

You can also revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Google tokens are encrypted at rest, and session cookies are signed and HTTP-only. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The Service is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we will let users know through the Service. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
